A Mediterranean first: a Champneys Spa at Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club, offering a complete wellness programme, from massages and facials to hydrotherapy, saunas, and fitness experiences.
Iconic Hotels & Resorts today announces the opening of the new Champneys Spa at Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club, bringing Champneys’ renowned wellbeing expertise to the Mediterranean for the very first time.
Set within a calming and contemporary space designed to immerse guests in holistic relaxation, the spa, the first to be located outside of the UK, will offer an extensive menu of Champneys therapies, including the signature Tide of Tranquillity massage, created exclusively to celebrate this landmark international debut.

A Sanctuary of Calm at Gran Marbella
Six treatment rooms including one double suite accompany an extensive thermal spa area centred around two impressive pools. The 19 square-metre indoor dynamic pool includes two pressure jets, a hydrotherapy waterfall and a counter-current system designed to improve circulation and ease muscular tension. A second 39.9 square-metre swimming pool sits at ambient temperature, ideal for gentle exercise and relaxation.
Elevating Wellbeing Through Temperature Flow
Further thermal experiences include a cold-water pool maintained at 15°C, a jacuzzi, a traditional sauna, Turkish bath and a selection of mixed temperature showers. The spa also features a classic bucket shower to encourage invigorating contrast therapy.
Champneys places particular focus on the benefits of temperature contrast wellness. Moving between heat experiences and cold immersion supports muscle recovery, stimulates circulation, boosts the immune system and enhances mental clarity. These principles underpin the spa journey, offering guests a deeply restorative and health focused experience.
Having opened last summer, Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club marked Iconic Hotels & Resorts’ debut in Andalusia. Known for properties including Cliveden House, Chewton Glen and Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido, the group continues its international expansion with this latest opening. The resort exemplifies the brand’s ethos of blending heritage, design, exceptional service, and premium coastal experiences, now enhanced by the addition of the Champneys Spa and Amù Beach Club.
Opening Times and Pricing
Open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm (to be amended based on seasonality), the space will be open to both hotel guests and external visitors, offering different access options. Guests staying at Gran Marbella Resort & Beach Club will benefit from discounted access to the wellness area and complimentary access when booking any treatment.
Non-residents can enjoy day passes (prices to be confirmed) or choose from monthly, quarterly, or annual memberships. Memberships include access to the spa facilities, gym and fitness classes, and exclusive benefits such as treatment discounts and selected hotel services. Access to the spa does not include entry to Amù Beach Club; however, guests may access its restaurant and bar, with sunbeds and food and beverage consumption subject to separate conditions.
